REP: The terr. molluscoids

Terrestrial molluscoids can be found only on a group of small islands far away from the main continents. They have mostly a flat habitus with their bone broadened to a supporting shell, which serves as a protection from carnivores as well. Their six feet evolved from their sensory knobs and have partially remained their former function. They play an important ecologic role on their island, being mostly omnivores, but also having herbivores and predators in their rows and serving as a food source for some endemic metapods and flightless pneumonopteres themselves.

Stiltbeak: An unusually fast species which preys on small, soft-shelled animals.
Steel helmet: Named after it's shape, this species and it's relatives are omnivorous, feeding on almost anything they can get hold off, mainly hard-shelled animals including smaller molluscoids and plant "seeds".
