REP: The Spearnoses

The spearnoses are a group of advanced marine animals, being medium-sized to big predators. Their elongated upper jaws are filled with various sensory organs and are primarily used for orientation and localizing prey, although they can also be sometimes used for defense purposes. Many spearnoses are either nocturnal or specialised for hunting digging animals and can be found mainly around the coastlines.

Fencer: A group of active, diurnal spearnoses that use their jaws primarily as hunting and defensive weapons and lost a big part of the senses localized in their jaws, but have well-developed eyes instead. They prey on smaller swarm animals.

Short spearnose: An omnivorous species that also uses more their eyes and sense of smell to find food.

Shovelhead: A nocturnal species with the best developed jaw senses. Some populations live only in coastal caves.

Ray spearnose: A species adapted to life on the sea ground and feeding mainly on worm-like animals and sometimed ground seatowels.
