REP: The Sicklewings

Sicklewings are a curious group of micropneumonopteres that can only be found on harvestman plants, which they depend on. They are flightless, with their wings only retaining their respiratory function while also being used as defensive weapons, but they are good climbers. They utilize different food sources, but feed on the different smaller harvestman plant parasites in particular. Their tail fan is small, lance-like and formed of hard tissue. Females use it to bore a hole into harvestman plants and lay an egg inside. According to this function, the tail is unusually long, flexible and has distally-set genital openings.
